La Quinta Inn & Suites Glen Rose

The pool area was lovely and clean, though the pool heater wasn’t working. We still had a blast taking turns swimming laps and warming up in the hot tub, which worked perfectly. The hotel was quiet at night despite being right off a busy, noisy street, and we all slept well. Breakfast was impressive: eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal, make-your-own waffles, juices, and milk. Our double room was roomy and comfortable, with excellent cotton linens and mattresses, quality pillows, three per bed, though I would have liked four. There was a big flat-screen TV, a desk and chair, a separate sitting chair, a single-serve coffee maker, and a small fridge tucked into a dresser stand. The bathroom was beautiful and very clean, which matters a lot to me. The shower pressure was amazing, the towels and washcloths were plump and stain free, and the Dove shampoo and conditioner in full-size bottles and boutique body wash were lovely. The bedside alarm clock had a regular outlet and USB ports. The lobby decor impressed me, and it smelled fresh and clean. The couple who run the place were incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s not brand new, but it’s very well maintained and updated with attention to detail. It’s pet friendly, but the place was so fresh and clean you’d never know an animal had stayed there. They have a lobby coffee bar too. We didn’t take photos, but I highly recommend this La Quinta and would definitely stay again.

A couple of things didn’t work well: the keycards failed, and the door wouldn’t lock when it closed unless we pulled it shut. The hot tub could’ve been warmer, too. Still, it’s a nice location, and I’d stay again.

The location is quiet and peaceful, just off the main Glen Rose road and near the Dinosaur Park. It was a great place to rest, with welcoming, helpful staff and good facilities, including a gym, pool, elevator, and wheelchair access. Breakfast was included and had plenty to choose from: waffles, cooked items, yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk, orange juice, and a toaster. For gluten-free toast, bring your own Gluten Free bread and toaster bags. The rooms were spacious with big, comfortable beds, TVs, Wi-Fi, a microwave, and a large fridge and freezer. The updated bathroom was clean, fresh, and well equipped with a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup remover wipes, hand soap, and plenty of clean towels.

My crews and I have stayed here for the last four months while traveling in this area, and it’s been a great place for us. We haven’t had any issues. The staff are hospitable and take care of things when needs come up. If you’re traveling through, it’s definitely a good spot to stop.
