The setting is beautiful, and the hotel has the feel of being inside a large historic house. The old rooms were clean and well maintained, with antique-style furniture, a nicely decorated entrance, and basic toiletries. The main drawback was being unable to find staff. Another guest and I both had trouble locating anyone at the front desk, and our calls went unanswered. Given the facilities and service, the price felt a little high for the experience.

Heather and her father Steve were so kind and welcoming, and we really appreciated their hospitality. My boyfriend surprised me with a Friday-to-Sunday getaway, 6/6 - 6-8, and it was exactly the escape I needed. The room was cozy and comfortable, and both the food and breakfast on each morning were delicious. We’ll definitely be back soon.

The breakfasts served on Saturday and Sunday were generous and tasty, and the room was comfortable. My girlfriend and I stayed Friday to Sunday, and it was just the break from NYC life we needed. We’re grateful to Heather and Steve for their hospitality. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and get away from everyday stress.

I’ve traveled all over, and this was my favorite place. Steve is such a sweet guy, with a great personality, and he makes the best French toast and bacon. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and there was hot water. All the antiques made me feel like I was in a museum or another time. My favorite pieces were the wooden horse, cash register, Chinese table, and old stove. The whole place is amazing. There were friendly dogs and a bird too. From now on, I’ll stop here whenever I’m in the Catskills.
