We had a delightful weekend getaway here with our two-year-old daughter. Melissa and Ron were so welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Ron even made Grace a dinosaur pancake for breakfast. It rained on Saturday, so we had to change our plans, and Melissa helped us find other things to do. We stayed in the mighty oak room and would love to book it again.

I’ve stayed at Live Oak a couple of times with my husband, and on our second trip we brought my two sisters-in-law too. Both visits have been consistently outstanding. Melissa and Ron have made a very comfortable place where guests are treated like family. They’ve thought of all kinds of little comforts that make you feel at home. It’s absolutely the best bed and breakfast we’ve stayed at.

We’ve stayed here with more family since our first visit, and plan to return many more times. The house is lovely, breakfast was fantastic, and the hosts made us feel comfortable. It’s one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have stayed in. We especially enjoyed Glen Rose, including the County museum on the square.

We needed a couple of quiet days to relax while passing through Glen Rose on the way back to Florida after a six-week cross-country road trip, and Live Oak B&B was just right. It has a peaceful, homey feel. Our room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Melissa served a hearty, tasty breakfast each morning, and we enjoyed chatting with her and Ron, who were lovely hosts. From the easy walk to the historic downtown square to a stroll by the river and dinner in town, it was a calm, restful stop.
