El Rio Motel

I booked a room online, but the owner wouldn’t honor the reservation and said I owed another $10 for taxes. I told her I’d already paid the taxes with my fee, and she started yelling, called me cheap, and told me to find another room. I’d been working all day and didn’t want to deal with the drama. Consumers should go somewhere else. The service here was disrespectful. Beware!

I only got a look at the place from the parking lot. It seemed clean and well put together, though definitely “vintage.” Getting a room was easy since it wasn’t full, and the staff were friendly. I didn’t see the rooms, unfortunately.

The motel is okay for the price, and the man there was nice and reasonable. But the woman manager is rigid and doesn’t seem able to handle the stress of the job. After I lost my bank card, she wouldn’t give me time to go to the bank for cash. She said I could return with the money but had to leave the next day, or leave right then. I got the money and paid, but she still made me leave the following day. I went back wanting to pay for five days in advance, and she kept saying there were no vacancies, even though they did have rooms. I caused no trouble, don’t smoke, and was the only person there, so there was no noise. She got upset because I’d lost my card and my car battery was dead in the parking lot. While I waited for AAA auto club, she wouldn’t even let me use the toilet. She said she gets severe headaches. Get a new manager. She’s turning away paying business and isn’t flexible.

The front desk lady was nice and sweet at first, then yelled at me and my dog after we’d paid for two days. I think she’s bipolar, a friend of the devil, WOW 😳. Thank you for being strict, strict is good. God is good 💯 This place is a great place, thank you Jesus 🙏👍
