Quality Inn & Suites Glenmont - Albany South

Bed bugs. My friend had bumps all over their body, and at first we thought it might be a reaction to something. A doctor confirmed what was going on. Please don't stay here unless you want to go home covered in bites with lots of new friends. When we asked about the future nights we'd booked, the hotel wouldn't refund them. They first tried to move us to a room that smelled strongly of smoke, with stained carpet and covers. It's really gross here. Spend your money somewhere else.

The desk staff were nice, and the place was easy to find right off the highway. We paid more than we wanted because it was a last-minute trip, and I thought a large chain would be fine for one night. The room was falling apart: a hole in the closet door, missing facing on the bathroom counter that left plywood and adhesive showing, one outlet hanging out of the wall and another that didn't work, and ripped curtains. It also smelled like stale smoke despite being a supposedly nonsmoking room. The pool water was cloudy and had no noticeable chlorine smell, so it didn't seem clean. We arrived late with the kids and were only there for one night, or we would've left when we saw the room. We tried to make the best of it, but one of my daughters was too creeped out to fall asleep. We would never stay here again.

We paid $170 for a horrible stay. The room was tiny and smelly, with mosquitoes inside. The washroom door wouldn't close properly, and the pillows were really uncomfortable. This place is overpriced. Don't waste your money staying here.

We ended up leaving without staying the night. After dinner, we came back to find several cockroaches, on the bedside table, the desk, and in the bathroom. The front desk offered no immediate cleaning help and didn't offer a refund. We were very upset with both the way it was handled and the room's cleanliness. The room also felt unsafe from the start. The door wouldn't shut all the way, leaving a big gap between it and the frame, with a noticeable draft and noise from outside. One lock was damaged and didn't work properly, and there was a large crack in the window. We wouldn't recommend staying here.
