Breakfast was a real highlight, and the staff were pleasant and ready to help. My room was huge, with so much care put into the details that it seemed nothing had been overlooked. I did worry about noise, but running the fan meant it didn’t bother me.

Logan was great at check-in, and Marie, the manager, was very professional. Keri, I think, could use a bit more training: checking us back in for another day took an hour. Housekeeping did a good job, though the carpet looks a little dated. I usually stay in an Airbnb in the area, but everything was booked for Easter. With just two hotels competing locally, the nearly $200 nightly rate felt too high for the area. Breakfast was mediocre.

The bed was very comfortable, and all nine days of my stay were wonderful. I came to Gloucester to help my son after he broke his leg, and since the place he was staying couldn’t accommodate guests, I needed a nearby hotel. Hampton Inn was only 10 minutes away, which mattered most despite my concern about the price. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels that didn’t clean every day, but Hampton Inn did. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and housekeeping was excellent.

The staff were really nice and friendly, and the room did look clean. Still, it smelled strongly of mildew and bleach. The AC and refrigerator were so noisy that sleeping was difficult. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The fruit was all rotten, and chicken sausage is hardly something everyone wants to eat. Hampton really needs breakfast choices guests can actually enjoy. At this point, choosing this place over a Motel 6 feels like a fair comparison.
