Julietta House

Julietta House is just a short walk from the harbor, and only five minutes from the Main Street restaurants and shops. It’s in a busy area that’s still quiet. The owner was there when we arrived, made us feel welcome, and shared plenty of local sightseeing information. We were in Gloucester for a wedding in mid September and had a wonderful stay. The house is a well preserved, tastefully updated example of a mid 1800s building. Gloucester is a great place to visit, and we’d return to Julietta House next time.

I love that Julietta House respects your privacy while still meeting your needs. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast items and has self-serve coffee, and guests can use the living and dining rooms. The historic home is beautifully decorated, with comfortable, clean rooms, and it’s close to the best of downtown Gloucester. Looking forward to my next stay!

We loved walking to the harbor, with its restaurants, shops, and activities. Julietta House was neat and clean, and conveniently located a short walk from the heart of Gloucester, with off street parking too. We stayed for the weekend and can’t wait to come back. We’ll definitely stay here again.

I spent two months at Julietta House this summer and would tell people to stay elsewhere. Susan was disrespectful toward tenants, especially those in their 20s and 30s. She came into rooms without asking and put audio and video baby monitors in shared areas. She also called or texted often with passive-aggressive messages. Once, while I was walking home from work, she called to complain that my 115-pound footsteps sounded too loud on the monitors. Halfway through my stay, she stopped everyone from using the kitchen. She ate and drank tenants' food, refused to return my security deposit, and there were plenty of other issues. The rooms also had problems: I was on the second floor, and whenever someone showered upstairs, water came through the bathroom light. Other rooms had leaks or water damage. Please don't stay here.
