Denver Marriott West

The room was uncomfortable, and I had a bad experience with the billing. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the HVAC ran day and night without warming the room, the bed was hard, the blanket thin, and the TV didn’t work. The technician didn’t seem to know what they were doing and couldn’t fix it. The front office man who handled the incidental fee was rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. I was charged a $388 incidental fee after buying only a $6 coffee. They said I’d get a $294.70 credit, but despite a receipt promising one, I never got that amount. They told my bank it was a charge for services received. What services? They weren’t clear about the taxes, fees, or when and how money would be returned, or even whether I’d get anything back. I’ve never had a good experience at a Marriott. My job put me up here, otherwise I wouldn’t have gone in. I’ll never stay at this one or any Marriott again. They’re overpriced and dishonest, and the uncomfortable stay wasn’t worth it.

This older hotel is well maintained, clean, and felt safe. The facilities were very clean, and the friendly staff had plenty of useful information. It’s well set up for business travelers and meetings, with lots of conference space, plus a nice lobby lounge and room service. Easy to get to nearby businesses and shops too. I had an excellent stay.

We’ve held an event here two years in a row, and both times the buffet dinner impressed us. The food is delicious and the staff are top-notch. It’s a clean, bright setting, too. This year the Reese's Peanut Butter Pie was fantastic. Life’s short, don’t skip dessert!

We’re from Evergreen and had been without power and running water since Wednesday because our well pump was out. By Friday morning we were hungry, exhausted, and badly in need of a flushing toilet. The Denver Marriott West staff were so helpful over the phone, made sure they had room for us, and welcomed us warmly even though it was hours before check-in. So many people nearby were also without power, but the staff stayed generous, patient, and kind through all the chaos. Seeing families and their pets finding shelter and showers here filled my heart. Thank you for taking care of us, Denver Marriott West.
