Holiday Inn & Suites Goodyear - West Phoenix Area by IHG

We were near the far end of the top floor, but the traffic from the south side was still incredibly loud. They’d left complimentary earplugs in the bathroom, which made me laugh. I’d hoped, somewhat unrealistically, that the noise might soothe my babies like white noise. The place itself was nice enough, and there wasn’t much the hotel could do about the road. If you’re sound-sensitive, I’d ask for a room as far from the highway as possible.

Breakfast was awful this morning. The food was cold, and the biscuits were hard. I know this isn’t a five-star restaurant, but the food should at least be edible. I used to like Holiday Inn, but lately it seems to get a little worse every time I stay. The bathroom floor and shower are also very slick, with nothing on them to help prevent a fall. That feels like a safety issue.

The location worked well for shopping and going out to eat. We stayed a few nights on a busy day, and the front desk still kept the line moving while greeting people with a smile. The service there was amazing.

I’ve been here for a month, and it’s been a very positive stay. The cleaning has been excellent, and having food options nearby is really convenient. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Phoenix.... 😲🤯
