We visited during Thanksgiving week and had a delightful stay. Firefall thought of everything for our six-month-old puppy: a bed, water bowl, a pup cup or five, and beautiful grounds to explore. The food was fantastic, and the staff were thoughtful, kind, and incredible. The whole place has character, from the beautiful decor to the little details. I found myself jotting down things that felt like part of Firefall's personality: board games in the room for a quiet evening by the cozy fire, s'mores cheerfully handed out at the front desk every night, and hearths around the property. We'll absolutely come back, and I'd recommend it.

The location made day trips easy, about a 30-minute drive outside Yosemite National Park. The route was scenic, with hiking along the way, and we visited during the holidays, when the Christmas light show was a lovely touch. There's even a set of bicycles on the property to ride around. We found the stay relaxing and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff and cabins that felt cozy. We loved the fireplace, deck, and great beds. Onsite activities included hot tubs, a heated pool, mini golf, horses, cornhole, and plenty of games. The food was outstanding and one of the highlights, and we enjoyed the wine and bar drinks. A small shop had a useful selection of snacks, coffee, tea, clothing, and essentials, handy when my wife forgot her chapstick. I'd definitely return.

The front desk and other staff were all very friendly, and we enjoyed the walking paths for morning strolls with our dog. Our room at Firefall Ranch at Yosemite was a nice size and cosy, and we loved the balcony. But it clearly hadn't been vacuumed after the last guest: there was long white fur on the carpet and in the bathroom, while our dog has short black-and-tan fur. One mug was dirty, too, with dried coffee stains on the bottom. Food choices felt limited, and the onsite restaurant didn't offer much selection. We'd return, but would ask them to vacuum the room and wash the drinkware before we arrive.

For a family of four with elementary-age kids, comfort and space were our priorities. We compared the sister properties and are glad we chose Firefall Ranch. From the moment we stepped into cabin H-3, the custom scent and thoughtful use of space stood out. The details, right down to the ropes along the ceiling, felt carefully considered. It was an easy walk to the pool and other amenities. Our king and queen beds had mattresses that were just right, and the rooms' colours, blankets, and pillows were well chosen. I especially liked having no TV, which kept the focus on nature and family time. Mornings on the deck with coffee and the gas firepit going were peaceful, especially with the ducks swimming in the pond before anyone else was up. Everything was clean and in order except for a bathroom vent fan that needed wiping and cobwebs in the primary-room rafters. The general store had everything, and the well-made or nice-smelling things were tempting even when we didn't need them. Coffee was reasonably priced and muffins were fresh. There was plenty to enjoy onsite: a spacious pool, two outdoor hot tubs, fireplaces around the grounds, and a generous wood-burning s'mores fire pit. The main pool ran cool, perhaps too cool for little ones at night, but the hot tubs helped. Mini golf was surprisingly well designed for its small space, and the playground was a hit with the kids. Bikes were fun for touring the property but needed maintenance, as did the worn ping-pong, foosball, and shuffleboard tables. It would've been nice to rent board games at the front desk; we brought our own card games, but that was no dealbreaker. The restaurant food was typical hotel fare, neither bad nor spectacular. We'd stay again without hesitation. The drive to Tunnel View in Yosemite takes about 45 minutes to an hour, though the scenery makes it feel shorter.

The whole place was a hit for us. Our room had lots of space, a high ceiling, a fireplace, and a private porch, and it was spotless and secluded. My husband and I rode bikes between the cabin and amenities for nearly our whole stay. Such a cute part of the experience. The horse ranch was beautiful, the pool was warm and clean, and we had fun with mini golf, lounging, and drinks at the bar. The free s'mores kits were adorable, and the little market had reasonably priced, high-quality healthy snacks. We ate at the bar twice and had breakfast at the restaurant; the food was fantastic and the servers were friendly and accommodating. Yosemite was conveniently close. It felt romantic for just the two of us, but also like a good social place for a family where everyone can find their own thing to do. We absolutely loved it and hope to return. I'd recommend it 10000%!
