David was going through cancer treatments and still managed to be an incredibly gracious host. The house was wonderful, the hollow beautiful, and his breakfasts delicious. My wife and I got married at Butterfly Hollow in May 2023, and I only realized when planning an anniversary visit that I'd never written a review. I've recommended Butterfly Hollow to people considering a wedding somewhere different, and we hope to visit again soon. For a quiet, romantic, quaint place to start your life together, I can't imagine a better choice.

David looked after us before, during, and after the wedding, and the place was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was delicious, too. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate our wedding. We'll definitely return for our anniversary.

Butterfly Hollow was the perfect spot for our girls' weekend celebrating two milestone birthdays. The home was cozy, clean, and full of character, and we could relax in the hot tub or just hang out together. There are also quite a few things to do nearby. The setting is peaceful, with beautiful views and a lovely mix of comfort and charm. Dave was a wonderful host who made us feel at home and made the stay feel special. We loved his breakfasts and can't wait to come back.

It's a beautiful venue for a small wedding, but be certain you're in a good situation before booking. I paid $5,600 for a wedding on October 4th. Thirty days before, my partner became abusive and I experienced domestic violence. I asked whether any of the money could be returned, but haven't gotten a dollar back. Given what happened, I hoped the owner might show some compassion. Even a quarter or half back would help, since finding a new apartment has left me struggling financially. Whatever happens, including domestic violence or a date change, it seems you won't get anything back. The venue is also restrictive about what you can use, so calling it all-inclusive feels like a bit of a farce. Real candles aren't allowed, and they didn't have the table colors we needed. We wanted sage green and had to find our own, which means spending extra. I would absolutely use this beautiful place again in the future, though. I just wish I had some of my money back now. Maybe a future wedding with a future partner could be heavily discounted, since I've already paid once.

We spent two nights in a downstairs room at this very quiet, antique, rustic log home. The bed and bath were very nice, and the house sits on 80+ acres covered with flowers and fauna. Dave was engaging and knew a lot. Each morning he served an awesome, huge breakfast, and the comfy main room was a great place to enjoy wine and play old-time banjo. Cummins Falls and Del Monico Winery are awesome. This B&B gets an easy 11 out of 10!
