Motel 6 Gordonville PA - Lancaster PA

There's no shampoo or conditioner included, and you have to pay for them. Housekeeping didn't come during our stay, though extra towels and similar items were available on request. The location was nice, and if you just need a simple place to stay, it works. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the lobby coffee was decent and free.

After 19 hours on the road, we arrived to find this Motel 6 location wouldn't take our cat and allowed only one dog. We'd stayed with both pets at other Motel 6 locations, including one 38 minutes away, without trouble. At 11:00pm we then waited 30 minutes for a manager to come so we could get a refund, because the front desk hadn't been taught how to issue one. Bad service, and the branch manager seemed stuck up and made their own rules.

There was no alarm clock in the room, and although the phone card said to dial "0" for a wake-up call, I was told they don't offer them. Noise started around 4am, banging from somewhere above that continued until I left at 8am. I couldn't tell whether it came from equipment or other guests.

The room was spacious and clean, and the AC worked well. The bed was only sort of comfortable, but the price was great. Check-in took hardly any time, and the gentleman who helped me was very nice and attentive. All in all, a good hotel for the money.
