Comfort Inn & Suites Grafton - Cedarburg

I made a booking mistake, and everyone but the hotel manager was willing to change it. The manager may have been following business practice, but charging me anyway felt outside the bounds of basic decency. I wound up paying twice for a room where the sink wouldn't drain. I'd avoid this place.

We picked this place for a cross-country event at Concordia University, and getting there from the hotel was easy. There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby, too. The microwave, fridge, pool, and breakfast all worked well and made the stay convenient.

The room was nice, the bathrooms were okay, and both the staff and pool were good. Breakfast had hot and cold choices. It worked for us, though for the price I wouldn't give it five stars.

It was way overpriced. The room had a dirty-sock smell, and the old bed and pillows felt about 20 years old. The sofa bed and chairs were dusty, worn fabric, with an old torn pillow. We wondered how many smelly feet had been on the carpet. The windows were very dirty, and since they couldn't open, we could barely see outside.
