Base Camp One at Granby Ranch

We had a lovely stay at this family mountain. There are lots of green and blue runs. Just know the base camp is a basic spot for ski rentals, lift tickets, and slope food and drinks, with no rooms.

Update, 25 Jan 2023: I’m back doing more window work. The three units we were in looked nice. Bring good tires, since most of the parking areas are quite steep. I’ve been replacing windows and doors in different Granby Ranch condos. The facilities are clean and the staff helpful. There’s handicap parking, but most units are on several levels and aren’t really accessible. They’re already making snow for ski season.

We used to love visiting, but we're done. The little pool area is locked down, and then they charge a family $50 to use it. In summer there’s barely anything to do at the resort, yet the prices are like Aspen. It’s $25 per adult or kid to ride the chairlift, which feels silly.

I’m a shuttle driver for another resort and make a lot of drop-offs here. Parking is nowhere near adequate. I’ve seen people walking two miles up the hill because there aren’t enough spaces, and the roads can become impassable. The roads are challenging, and so far I haven’t seen them plowed well. There have been numerous accidents.
