Hilton Garden Inn Grand Forks - UND

It was very clean, pet friendly, and a great place to walk the dog. The service staff were very friendly, and I’d recommend staying here. The toilets sit very low, which could be difficult for older or injured people. Also, our TV didn’t work until the night before we left. Each room should be in working order before a guest checks in.

The room was nice and wide open, which was the only positive. This was my second and last stay here, and it wasn’t my choice to return. The toilet ran nonstop, even after two people said they’d have someone look at it. The shower was the worst I’ve ever used: its handle was attached to a handicap bar on the side and could only be raised about five feet, and the pressure was so poor I had to lean almost out of the shower to get wet. The water swung between cold and scorching. There was no complimentary continental breakfast like at most hotels. They charged $17 for a mediocre meal with no seconds or refills, then gave me a bill and expected a tip even though it was self service. Drinks in the cooler at the desk were overpriced too.

The location and service are hard to beat. It’s a nice Hilton property with a great staff, and I plan to stay here on future trips to the area.

I asked for more K-cups for the room, but never got any, so I had only two for my five-night stay. I also called about room service and was told, “Yeah, we don’t do that here.”
