Harbor House Inn

The fruit salad was my favorite part of breakfast. The bagels were a little stale and the coffee was weak, though. We also enjoyed the snacks in the room, and bottled water was a nice touch. One morning, the desk attendant even lit the fireplace in the dining area. We came to Grand Haven for New Year's Eve and fell in love with the adorable, enchanting room and its fireplace. Everything was clean and comfortable. We'll definitely return to Harbor House on our next visit.

Deb is what made our stay at Harbor House Inn feel special. She welcomed us with a warm smile and knew the area so well that her recommendations were right on every time. When we came back from exploring, she seemed genuinely interested in hearing about our day. It felt like seeing a familiar, friendly face. There were a few small room hiccups, but Deb took care of them quickly and professionally and made sure we were comfortable. The inn itself is charming and welcoming, and my wife and I now have a place to return to whenever we're in town. We couldn't have been happier and highly recommend it.

The location made it easy to walk to the lighthouse for a beautiful sunset, to Culver's on 31, and through the old town, which was less than two blocks away. The inn is across the street from the inlet, with off-street parking. We had a king bed on the top floor, though getting up there was a bit of a walk. The room had a wall-mounted TV and an AC that blew hard when it switched on. The bathroom was small, but the shower pressure was good. Breakfast was cold: cut fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, two juice choices, coffee, and tea.

Harbor House is a lovely property, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a spa tub and fireplace that made it feel very romantic. I highly recommend it.
