The carpet had an iron burn, the outlets mostly didn’t work, and the toilet seat kept sliding underneath me. There was a lot of mold in the room, and I don’t think the linens get washed. Nothing looks updated, probably since the place was built. I strongly suggest going somewhere else. This place should be demolished.

The only good thing about this motel is that it’s close to niagara falls. The owner did refund us in the end, but getting there took a whole confrontation. He eventually said that since I’d raised the room issues right away, he could put someone else in it and refund the money. Before that, I showed photos to the front desk and asked for a different room or my money back. He didn’t look at them, called the owner, and the owner asked if we’d messed up the room. I said I’d only touched the bed and would remake it if that was necessary for a refund. The desk told me to make it exactly as it was or I wouldn’t get the money back, so I did. Then the owner arrived, complained he’d waited over an hour for us, and insisted the room was always cleaned, even though I’d tried to show him the pictures. The front desk person wouldn’t answer when I asked about the owner’s time in business and how many properties he owned. When I wondered aloud if he just worked there and might not know, he angrily said he was the owner’s cousin and didn’t owe me answers, and told me to ask the owner. As we left, I warned another guest that I absolutely didn’t recommend the place and said we’d all be better off sleeping in our cars. The room was awful. This is supposed to be a non-smoking motel, but there was a very strong cigarette smell, a problem for me because I’m very allergic to it. A piece of furniture had what looked like punch holes. Under the square cloth “bed protector” was a large mark that seemed like a pee stain. There were crumbs and hair all over the mattress, little bug torsos in the mattress liner, and dark stains near the foot that looked like blood splatter. There was a dead spider above the bed, black stuff leaking from the AC and running down the wall, and a sagging ceiling with mold covered by putty. There were cigarettes in what I assume was an AC vent. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed, with candy wrappers, cookie chunks, and mysterious crumbs. The bathroom looked unfinished, and the tub faucet had what looked like toothpaste spit on it that hadn’t been wiped off. The whole place was disgusting and disappointing.

I couldn’t get my money back after finding a dirty room, so here’s the review. The fridge was full of mold, the blankets had what looked like piss stains, and the whole place smelled like mildew. Dirt, crumbs, and who knows what else had built up along the floor’s corners and edges. I also found a dead bug on a blanket. The bathtub looked half-finished, like whoever was hired just left it that way. The guy at the front seemed annoyed I was bothering him while he sat down, but still wouldn’t refund me. It’s cheap, sure, but have some standards. The only nice part is the front of the building.

The area was good, and the bathroom was clean, but the shower needs replacing. The AC unit had poison ivy growing through its side, and the property seems very poorly maintained. I booked a room and had a little trouble getting the owner to find the reservation.

We landed at Chateu Motor lodge for the night, about 7 miles toward Niagara Falls. At $99, it was passable, kind of like it was newly built, haha. The best parts were the price and being 7 miles from the falls. There was a microwave and fridge, the air conditioning was cool, and the shower had hot water. That was enough for us.
