Scottish Inns Kenmore

I’ve been here four times now. The rooms are a great size, always clean and smelling good, with comfortable beds. Service is great, too. Everyone’s respectful and helpful when I need something. I really recommend it.

The one thing my wife liked was that the room didn’t smell of smoke. She asked for another blanket for herself and our son and was refused. I’ve never had a place deny an extra blanket like that. She planned to stay the whole week, but the service sent her elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend it if you care about service quality. The prices are cheap, if that’s what you’re after, but the rooms don’t look like the pictures. It’s just a generic motel.

This was a motel with awful service, despite being presented as a hotel, and the room looked nothing like the photos. The man at the front office seemed nice at first, but when I asked a question he snapped, “you did not read the terms correctly.” The room smelled like cigarettes, even though the “hotel” is supposed to be smoke free, and now all my stuff smells too. The bed squeaked whenever I moved, so I couldn’t sleep. Around 3 am, I woke up to people shouting loudly and aggressively. In room 201, the bathroom door wouldn’t close or lock, and there were bugs in the towels. The shampoo and body wash didn’t work. The shampoo was incredibly low quality, and the body wash felt scratchy and frankly hurt to use.

The room looked nothing like the website pictures, so I chose to leave and stay elsewhere. I told them not to charge my card, but they charged it anyway. There was also a lobby sign saying you had to be 21 to rent a room, which gave me the impression they had hourly rates.
