Travelodge by Wyndham Grand Island

They were kind and easy to work with from check-in through check-out. Customer service was great. The room cleaning, though, wasn’t good and felt like a quick five-minute job. If they cleaned better, I’d stay again.

There was mold on the window seals and in the ice machine, ants on the bathroom floor and coming out of an electrical outlet onto the walls, and bed bugs. My family and I won’t be back. I demanded a refund and called the health department. The housekeepers don’t clean properly. They come once, maybe twice a week to change towels, and only change the sheets if you ask. They don’t clean the bathroom as they’re supposed to. The manager admitted they’d had bed bugs before. When I went to request housekeeping, he said they’d gone home for the day because there were no rooms to clean. This place is a joke. Don’t bring your family here.

The staff seemed to be cleaning, and the room looked about as clean as its age allowed. The bed was comfortable, with fresh sheets and bedding, and the price was good, though the place felt dated. Then, just before we left, I made one last bathroom trip and spotted a bug in the corner. Looking closer, I realized it was a bed bug. I left worried I might bring some home. After reading reviews from the week before, it seemed they already knew about the problem. I wish they’d fixed it before letting guests stay.

The elevator wasn’t working, and the staff seemed to deny the problems. There were bed bugs in multiple rooms, and the sheets felt dirty. The carpet was so dirty it made my feet and socks look like I’d been outside. The bathroom tile was dirty too, its light fixture was missing, and there was hair all over the shower, like it hadn’t been cleaned.
