Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Junction by IHG

We had to switch rooms in the middle of the night because the neighbors were drunk and loud. The hot tub was supposed to be open to paying guests, but they had drained it. There wasn't even a continental breakfast. Both rooms also had broken tiles and missing grout, so wear shoes indoors unless you want to risk cutting your feet. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

The noise here went on all night. The place is beside a busy road, and garbage trucks were backing up and banging the dumpsters from 3 am until 6 am. Manager Eric wasn't much help either. We also found blood stains on the roll-up blinds, and this location wasn't service dog friendly. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I drove away and went somewhere else after an unsettling encounter. I'd been sitting in my car for about ten minutes at around 10:15pm, looking at my phone, when an older man came over and seemed to scrutinize me. He walked around the car without saying anything, then left. I assumed he might work there, but I can't be sure. If he was an employee, that approach needs to stop. If he was just some creep, sorry for the bad rating.

We were in town for a few days to help my daughter through a dangerous domestic situation. Mary at the front desk told us to park behind the building and said she'd let staff know to keep an eye on our vehicles. She also made sure that if anyone called, no one would be told we were staying there. Her compassion and concern for our safety deserve real recognition.
