Hotel Maverick

The dining upstairs and at the cafe was top-notch. A shoutout to the lovely girl with glasses at the cafe, she brightened my day. I've been traveling for three weeks with my large dog, and Lexi at the front desk made our long driving evening much easier. She was attentive, helped me find a way to extend my stay, and gave my sweet girl Logan a dog bed, treats, and a food and water bowl. This is a great place.

My parents said they had a great stay and the food was delicious. Lexi made booking a room remotely very easy when I called Hotel Maverick about an hour ahead of time on my dad's birthday. My parents were on a road trip with their dog, and Lexi arranged a dog bed and other goodies, left a birthday card for my dad, and helped me set up dinner at Devils Kitchen. Lexi, Hotel Maverick, and Devils Kitchen went above and beyond to make the day special. I can't thank or recommend them enough.

The gym was quite small, and a couple of the few machines in it were broken or malfunctioning. Hopefully those can be repaired. Room service was the bigger frustration: they organized the bathroom but didn't make the beds and left dirty glasses around. I don't expect much, but I'd left a tip and the room still wasn't cleaned. The front desk did waive the amenities fee, which I appreciated, though it was about the same as my tip, so that didn't impress me much. The space itself was very pretty, the front desk staff at check-in were great, the rooms were good, and I liked the on-site restaurant.

We had lunch at The Devil’s Kitchen at the top of the hotel. The views were beautiful, the food was excellent, prices fair, service friendly, and parking free. The rooftop patio outside wasn't available because they were decorating for the holidays, but we still had an excellent experience. We didn't stay at the hotel, though we'd like to one day for fun. The lobby is warm and inviting, a nice place to read a book.
