Gayle was one of the friendliest, most helpful hosts I've met. She gave us good tips about the area and made sure things went smoothly from check-in through checkout. You can tell she cares about keeping the place neat and welcoming. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and nicely put together, with a cozy mountain-town feel. Shops, lakes, and the town are easy to reach on foot, which made the trip even better. Thanks again, Gayle. I can't wait to come back.

Awww yeah, Cougar Cabin! The room was really nice, and Gail was super friendly and accommodating. It's dog friendly, and the hot tub was hot and very soothing. I was lucky enough to have the cabin right in front of it. I'll definitely be back.

Raccoon was a classic cabin that brought back memories. It was clean and comfortable, close to town, the Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Being dog friendly was a nice bonus. I'd stay here again! R

We stayed in the Elk cabin from Monday night, 8/18, until Thursday morning, 8/21. The location has some good points: there's a grocery store right next door and within walking distance, and the hot tub is nice. Getting to a downtown restaurant may mean a bit of a drive. One night we heard noise from the trailer park behind the property, but the other nights were fine. I didn't know it was there until we'd arrived and settled in, and it could make some guests uncomfortable. The cabin is basic, and I found it relatively comfortable, but I'd have liked a larger bathroom and air conditioning. The bedroom is small, the living area decent, the kitchen small, and the bathroom even tinier. The queen bed was comfortable. I wouldn't recommend this cabin for more than two people. I'm not sure whether other cabins fit larger groups. Even as a petite woman, I kept bumping into things in the bathroom. The shower controls are tricky: they need to be set just right for a decent temperature, and one wrong turn makes the water either very hot or freezing. There's no air conditioning, just windows to open and fans to use. Nights cool off, but summer days around 80 degrees are brutal. If you have lots of smart devices, there aren't enough outlets. When we arrived after a long drive, the owner/host rattled off the rules and handed us a book of them, which felt like a lot. I'd rather read it myself and ask questions later. You need to follow the checkout rules or face cleaning fees. It would've been a decent stay without the trailer park, but I could've done without that, too.

The Trout cabin had the rustic feel of Grandpa's fishing place, which we loved, and Gayle was attentive and offered to help if we needed anything. The grocery store next door was convenient, though getting to downtown or the lake and beachfront was a bit of a walk from this edge-of-town location. We had a good couple of nights, but for what we paid, the stay left us wanting more. It might have suited us better if we had our kids or pets along. The cabin had a tiny bathroom and a big, awkward water heater in the kitchen. We appreciated the fans, but there were few outlets for them or anything else, and the two we found were hard to reach with broken covers. The hot and cold shower knobs were reversed, and the water was very hot. The property backs onto a trailer park that wasn't in the best shape. Gayle was lovely, but she reminded us a couple of times to read the handbook rules. It said late checkout after 10:30 needed permission and cost $25 per hour. We left on time, then called to return the keys and were asked if we'd read the rule saying to leave them locked in the cabin. We hadn't.
