Best Western Plus Arlington North Hotel & Suites

Our room was huge, and it even had a couch! I love hotels, and I’ll definitely come back. I might end up staying another night if the snowstorm cancels my flight, lol. Sam at the front desk is the sweetest, even her voice is sweet. Thanks for such great service. The continental breakfast was more than I expected, especially the coffee machine with its own milk steamer. Anyway, I’m off to the gym!!!!

The staff were really nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The towels are as people say, but just call the front desk and ask for more. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen: eggs, sausage, bagels and cream cheese, cheese, whipped cream, Texas-shaped waffle irons, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, and I think coffee. I was stuffed. Not sure what people who complained were expecting.

I paid around $550 for two nights while there was a big event in Arlington, and at that price I expected a clean, habitable room. All I got for the trouble was a bottle of iced tea from the sundry. The next day, hammering and drilling went on for hours just on the other side of my bed, shaking it. Later, the front desk asked to check a shower leak in my room, and I agreed. They said they’d been in, checked it, and finished about five minutes later. When I returned that evening, the shower handle was gone and there was a hole in the bathroom wall looking into the adjoining lobby. I covered it with a towel so nobody could see into our bathroom and asked to move again. They said there was no double room, but gave me a key to a king room so we could shower since ours couldn’t be used. They wouldn’t give me another room after the first one turned out to be out of order. That room lacked toiletries, an iron, a hair dryer, and toilet paper, hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and smelled musty. I’d checked in, dropped my bags, then returned to find the room given to someone else when a large group arrived. Someone else had taken my bags to the front desk. Instead of honoring my earlier check-in, they moved me to that other room. The pillows were tiny square throw-pillow types and hard as rocks. Worst hotel of my life.

We made a last-minute trip to Dallas and stayed here, but didn’t get decent sleep because people around us kept slamming doors all night. In the morning we found a used flosser in the towel rack. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling, too. We tried calling the front desk several times to report it and ask for extra pillows, but nobody answered. We have a 2-year-old with us, which made the mold especially concerning. At checkout we reported everything, but there was no manager there. They called the manager, who didn’t answer. Management called back later, but still didn’t help, so we had to contact Best Western Customer Service for better assistance. Please see the attached pictures.
