Itascan Motel

The staff were helpful and very friendly, and the location right on the main road was convenient. The room was clean, though some repairs and updates would help. There was no thermostat for the heat, so it got too warm and I had to crack the window. The shower was hot, but the surround was cramped and the sprayer sat low. At 6'0", shampooing wasn't easy. A decent budget stay overall.

This was easily the worst hotel room I've had, and it was gross. I'd rather make the four-hour round trip drive for work every day than pay $90 a night to stay here.

The staff were wonderful with my same-day booking, and for the price I was pleased with the simple comforts. Everything worked as it should, including the toilet in the bathroom. It's a safe, clean, warm, cozy conversion that feels like a small but quaint 2000s apartment, set up nicely for city life. No bed bugs, despite what earlier reviews said. My one complaint is the tiny bathroom. I'm 6'2" and 3 ft broad.

I've worked in all 50 states, both territories, and 23 different counties, and these are the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. Take pride in what you have, but don't treat it like gold. This shouldn't cost more than a budget inn on any day.
