After an 11-hour drive while moving across the country, I was grateful that Ron made things easy and safe. He'd been extremely friendly on the phone and even let me delay the motel stay by a day at short notice. Since his biggest room wasn't booked, he upgraded me to it. It was massive, and I could park right outside the window, which mattered because I had things in the car that I couldn't afford to unpack. I was also traveling with birds, and I'm very grateful they let me bring them. Lots of motels and hotels allow cats and dogs but not birds. The area looked a little run down, but I highly recommend this motel, especially for long-distance travelers with a logistical bind. Ron also recommended a nearby coffee shop in what looked like an old auto shop. The food around there was fantastic, and the breakfast sandwich was the best I've had in a long time, better than any I had during my 11 years in San Diego.

We found this locally owned motel after rolling past the chain places by the interstate while riding the GDMBR. Tim greeted us and was incredibly helpful throughout our two-night stay. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two people and our loaded bikes, with full amenities, even a glass canister for coffee. The beds were comfortable too. I later met the owner, Ron, who seemed just as nice as Tim. Thanks to him and all the staff for a great stay.

We felt very safe here, and it was pet friendly. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's right on Historic Route 66, close to some really good food, with a few places walkable and others just a short drive away. There's also a shuttle to a brewery down the street, just ask for the number.

The room was clean, the property was well kept, and our host was gracious and welcoming. He pointed us to local places to eat and see. Our car was parked right outside the room, whose old metal pane window faced it. We were looking for something other than a chain hotel, and this old-school Route 66 spot has plenty of charm and history. A really cool place for the nostalgia and the stay.

The host had lots of suggestions for dinner and breakfast, and the room was clean and comfortable. The price was right, too. There was a bit of road noise when I went to bed, but the provided ear plugs, AC, and my white noise helped me sleep soundly. It's an old motel on Route 66, and the new owner has clearly taken pride in bringing it back. I enjoyed my stay!
