Budget Inn

The rooms are decent, but mine smelled unbearably of cigarettes and had burn holes in the covers. The bathroom door wouldn't shut either. I paid $89 for one night and didn't feel I got my money's worth. When I asked the desk person for towels, rags, and fresh sheets, they got an attitude and told me I should take care of the sheets instead of wasting things. That kind of disrespect is unacceptable. If you can put up with an attitude, be my guest.

Tldr: very clean, good value, and friendly people. Also, I love the Corvette. I'm usually a Hilton gal, but I really liked this budget motel. The staff were polite and helpful, and the owner made sure we were looked after even though the reservation and card systems were still down after Hurricane Helene.

The motel was really quiet, and the room was exceptionally clean with no odors. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, and there were plenty of clean linens, washcloths, and bath towels. I arrived around 6pm with a reservation, and staff were promptly available and accommodating. There wasn't an alarm clock, so I used my phone. I didn't ask for a wake-up call.

You can walk to a Waffle House and a 7-11 gas station and convenience store, and more shops and restaurants are only a short drive into Laurens. The motel is pet-friendly, which works for me since I always travel with my dog. All the rooms are on the first floor, so no stairs. My room was tiny, almost right into the bed when you opened the door, but once I got settled, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the atmosphere, and the prices were reasonable.
