Super 8 by Wyndham Grayling

The staff were very friendly, and they even gave us a small anniversary gift. Our room was clean and looked out over the woods behind the hotel. Although the parking lot had a lot of cars, we didn’t have any noise issues from the neighbors.

The price wasn’t what it used to be, and this no longer felt like a budget stay. Still, I was pleasantly surprised after not having stayed at Super 8 in many years. Everything was clean and well stocked. The pool and sauna were sparkling, and breakfast had more than I expected.

I hadn’t expected to need a hotel last night, so I was grateful there was a room available. Matt, the night manager, was kind, professional, and very helpful when I needed assistance. Matt was great!

I usually stay here when I visit my SO, who works several months of the year at Camp Grayling. The price is decent, the rooms are clean, and the staff are helpful. It also takes dogs and has a little dog park right next to it, which is handy. One thing to know about payment: they say they won’t charge my card until checkout, and sometimes we want to pay cash when we arrive, but they’ve charged it at check-in every time. Once, they charged it when I booked online. So expect your card may be charged upfront despite what they tell you.
