Echoes of the Sea

Copalis and Mocrocks Beach are both only about six minutes away, which was unbeatable for our week of clamming and crabbing. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and dogs are welcome too. We stayed in the motel, where the kitchenette had everything we needed to cook, including a stove, microwave, and small fridge. The site itself is small, with room for a row of RVs behind the motel and a little tent area for around 10 tents. There’s a cleaning station by the main office and another near the tents. The water pressure was weak, and the motel walls are a bit thin. Earplugs and a sound machine were provided beside each bed.

The grounds were immaculate, and the staff made sure I had the amenities I needed. I stayed a couple of nights in room 5, which was very clean and spacious for one person. It was just what I expected, in a good way. I’d happily stay at this motel when I’m in the area.

The bathrooms even smelled nice, and the owners were kind and good with kids. We were looking for somewhere near ocean shores that weekend, and this was the only campground we could find nearby. When we pulled in, my first reaction was that it was actually nice. I’d stay again, though I wish quiet hours were enforced. On the first night, someone walked around shining a flashlight into all the campsites. I hope it was a staff member, but it did spook us a little.

My dog got a puppy bin with food and water bowls, a towel, a blanket, and a treat. The place was nice and clean, and I had a great stay. I’d give it 5 stars, except the beds were a little hard and I had to wash my own dishes. Pretty great place, 4.5 stars!
