Traveler's Budget Inn

The bed was so uncomfortable that I had a rough night, and I probably won't come back. The rooms were fairly clean but old and stained, with curtains falling off the rods. Some carpets were being cleaned when we arrived, and the outside area was a bit messy. The welcome wasn't friendly. Don't arrive before 3, because you'll be turned away. The lobby is open from 8am to 11pm, with no service outside those hours, so good luck if you need anything. There was a good-sized mini fridge and a microwave in the room.

The woman at the desk was kind, and there were two cats and a dog in the lobby. I love animals, so that was fine. But the room was not worth the savings, and I wouldn't recommend it. There were black spots on the top blanket of one bed, and the room looked bad enough that we checked for bugs. We didn't find any, but there was weed residue under the mattress and liquor bottles. The chair had crusty stains, and there were stains all along the edges of both beds.

We slept well in a quiet, very clean room. The woman who checked us in was great and said she'd be there until 10pm to help if we needed drinks or snacks. The gentleman who checked us out in the morning was very nice too. We'd come back.

The lobby smelled like old cat litter and cat pee, and the rooms had dusty odors, water-damaged ceilings, and bugs in the light fixtures. I'm allergic to dust. The walls had patches done poorly and blood splatter, and the plumbing was awful, with no plungers in the rooms. Bedding had holes from when the rooms were apparently smoking rooms, and it hadn't been replaced. We found bed bugs and body lice. We checked out once, then checked back into the same rooms. The sheets still had old blood spots, so it was clear the bedding we'd slept on hadn't been changed. We took our own trash out several times a day and never smoked in the room. The cleaning woman, who speaks broken English, kept waking us despite the do-not-disturb sign to ask if we were checking out, even though we'd told her the day before we had the room for a week. She tried to push her way in to clean. We didn't trust her around our belongings, so we stayed while she cleaned rooms. Later, she said we smoked inside, which wasn't true, and now we're not allowed to stay there. When we asked the front desk to review the footage, they said they believed the cleaning woman over us. I'm glad not to deal with her again, but this place may be cheap and still isn't worth it. Don't stay here.
