There was ice-cold lemonade in the lobby, which was nice, but I would not stay here again. The room latch lock was broken and trapped us inside on the second floor. The manager said that had never happened before, then tried a trick she said usually works, but it didn’t. She eventually passed me a screwdriver through the narrow gap in the door, and that was the only way out. In a fire or evacuation, we would have had to jump from the window and break our legs. The manager laughed, didn’t take it seriously, and rudely suggested we leave early. She said she couldn’t do anything else, including refund the nights we hadn’t stayed. The response to this review claims we were refunded, but that isn’t true. They said they couldn’t offer compensation for a problem like this beyond letting us leave early. I don’t feel my safety is a joke. If you care about your family’s safety, don’t stay here, or check the room thoroughly first. There were other problems, too. Pipes creaked loudly all night and woke me up. The bed was uncomfortable and sunken in the middle, so I had to stretch my neck and back every morning. There was a pair of fake eyelashes in the bed when we arrived, and I don’t know if it had been cleaned. The sheets already had lint and stains and were very staticky. The hot tub was disgusting, with dirt and particles floating in it, and it was shut down the next day.

Ask ahead whether the hot tub works. They count it as working if there’s any jet pressure at all. Staff either lead customers on or say things like, “That’s not my area.”

My only concern was how close it is to a highway. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the staff very kind. A fantastic property with really kind staff.

The front desk person was very rude and ignored my questions about pets. The blackout curtains are only 2 ft and don’t cover the window at all.
