The hotel looked modern and was very clean, but I had a hard time resting there. Light still came around the edges even with every shade closed, so I ended up covering my eyes with towels after being awake nearly 24 hours. Then someone from housekeeping knocked even though I had only just checked in. The strong scent of perfume or air freshener throughout the place was close to triggering a migraine. There was no complimentary breakfast either, so we went to bed hungry. I was glad the company was paying. I don't think I'll try another Aloft.

The front desk staff were pleasant and quick, though the bartender seemed distracted and wasn't very attentive, perhaps because closing time was near. Rooms were clean and had a mini fridge, iron, and small ironing board, but the carpet, shades, and paint looked worn while the bathroom fixtures seemed newer. There's a full bar, a roomy lobby with a pool table, and free parking. It's also a short walk from the Fox River, Ashwaubomay Lake Park, and other places. A reasonable overnight stop for business, though the property is showing its age.

We've stayed at scores of Marriott hotels, and this was the worst one for us. There were too many problems to list. There's a Residence Inn a block away, so I'd skip the Aloft and stay there.

We came in for the Packers/Bengals game and found this hotel really practical and easy. Every staff member we met was friendly, too. For what it costs, it's hard to beat.

Nita behind the bar was fabulous, and my Espresso Martini was an 11/10. They even let our babies have their first hotel stay. Love this location!
