Americas Best Value Inn Green River

We were worn out after two days on the road, and most of the hotels and restaurants in Green River were closed for winter. They gave us a quiet, comfortable room by the back door, which worked well with our two little dogs. We'd stay again when passing through Green River, Utah.

At first the hotel seemed fine for the price. Then a pipe burst over the bed at 1:30 a.m. and water was dripping on me. The floor was soaked and the ceiling sagged. The owners offered another one of their hotels, but wanted us to pay extra for that room. Six months later, I found out they never refunded the room we had to evacuate. Zero out of five. Go literally anywhere else.

After a rental car mishap, the staff made a stressful situation much easier. They were warm and helpful, and very welcoming to my puppy. Even after checkout they let us wait in the lobby for quite a while as I worked things out with AAA. Really grateful to have run into such kind people.

I rarely leave a bad review, but this one earned it. The room cost $250, and the pool was green, not filled properly, and unusable. The shower area was disgusting and the curtain filthy. Towels were so threadbare my rags look better. The in-room coffee hadn't been restocked, and someone else's coffee and grounds were still in the pot. Breakfast was only partly stocked and mostly unappealing. The only people getting value here are the owners.
