This was still a pleasant stay, with the usual cleanliness, good service, and pretty good free breakfast I expect from Hampton. I stay at these hotels often because I like them. Most of the ones I've visited lately have smart TVs and Kuerig coffee makers in the rooms, but this one hasn't been updated with those. That's the only reason I gave it four stars, since it's one of the few Hamptons I know of that hasn't had a recent renovation.

The room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly, but I couldn't give five stars after finding both coffee machines empty. My room was also missing conditioner. I asked on the first night and was told it would be refilled, but it was still empty the next morning. It seemed like the bottle hadn't been checked for weeks. This is the first Hampton I've stayed at without conditioner, and the first that didn't have coffee available.

We've stayed here several times while traveling east and west on I-80. It's a good place to stop right off the interstate, with friendly staff and some fun local restaurants around town. They even have a lounge where you can get a drink during the week.

The building is absolutely stunning, but my experience at the front desk was so unpleasant that I wouldn't recommend staying here. I booked online for $119 and was traveling with a service pet, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged a pet fee. My card was charged $184. When I asked "Sarah" to explain the difference and give me an itemized receipt, she refused, saying the charges were "confidential." I told her she'd just charged my card and I should be able to see what it was for, but she still wouldn't provide a breakdown. I also asked for the internet access details. She said she could give me one-time access, but that using the internet required a Hilton Honors number because it was reserved for Honors guests. The rudeness at the front desk overshadowed the beauty of the building.

Beautiful setting, and the room was spotless with a very comfortable king bed. We especially liked the walk-in shower. Laundry was easy to use yourself, at $1.50 per load.
