Canoa Ranch Golf Resort

After working all day in the Tucson Valley, my son and I expected a relaxing resort stay, but we left after about two hours. We went through two rooms, and neither had working air conditioning. The first room was dirty, disordered, outdated, and poorly maintained. We unpacked there before noticing the problems, then had to pack everything and move. In the second room, we unpacked again and found the AC didn't work there either. Charlie seemed to be the only person on duty. There was no maintenance worker or manager available. He came up and tried to fix the first AC himself, but it still didn't work. When we asked to leave and get a refund, we were told management couldn't be reached until Monday, even though the problem was happening right then. It felt like they were moving us from room to room instead of fixing the issue. We eventually left and contacted Booking.com to resolve the refund. This wasn't the stay we expected, and I wouldn't recommend the resort unless the rooms, maintenance, cleanliness, and on-site service improve.

The lobby coffee bar was good, and breakfast was decent, though the omelette station could get a little testy with everyone. We stayed two nights. The scenery was wonderful, and our clean, comfortable room had very nice beds.

The golf course was beautiful, though we didn't have time to play, and the scenery was amazing. We spent one night on May 1, 2026, in a second-floor standard king room, number 5201. The hotel was peaceful and accommodating, and they even called in the evening to ask whether we needed anything. Breakfast the next morning was amazing.

We had plenty of parking once construction was finished. At night, javelinas roam the lot, so keep an eye on small children. The pool area is gated and well maintained, and the kids had a lot of fun in the pool and hot tub. The grandparents enjoyed the hot tub too. Mike and his team set out all the grill utensils and made it easy for me and the boys to grill for our family. The grilling area was laid out really well. One evening, our upstairs neighbors were making a lot of noise while we were trying to put our toddlers to bed. Mike called them, and we didn't hear any more noise for the rest of the stay. Thanks to Mike and the staff for making things so nice for us. We stayed here for Christmas. The room was roomy, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was simple and delicious. You hand in your ticket at one window and request what you want in your omelet, then pick it up at the second window. They ask if you'd like potatoes and sausage. Toast, jam, and butter are on one table; another has two cereals, milk, apple and orange juice, and coffee. There was lots of seating for families and small groups. Ten out of ten, I'd recommend a family stay.
