Quality Inn Greeneville - Tusculum

The staff were both welcoming and even gave us cookies. The hotel was clean, quiet, and really comfortable. Breakfast was decent too, with the usual eggs, sausage, coffee, waffle maker, and juices, plus Uncrustables.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the fridge and A/C worked great. I had to put a chair by the curtain so it wouldn’t block the A/C vent, though. The TV was small but worked, and the front desk staff were polite and friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. The location was convenient for gas, food, and groceries. Some things I reported after the first night got fixed: the shower drained poorly and the toilet seat was loose. But the strange brown streaks on the bathroom door were left there, and the ice bucket tray had mold or mildew. The microwave also kept cutting out mid-cook, so I had to restart it several times to heat a three-minute frozen meal. All in all, the stay wasn’t terrible.

The room needed a proper cleaning. There was dirt on the floor, and though the woman at the desk was very nice and came to fix the TV, she swept up when I asked, but the floor really needed mopping. Later, the tub took about 30 minutes to drain after my shower. My husband waited, then took his shower, and it took another 45 minutes to drain. I called to say it had finally emptied and that it needed fixing before anyone else got that room. We’d stayed before, but this was our last time. The back exit was a mess too. We used it because it was closer to the car, and there was a pair of shoes to step around and a burst bag of potting soil or something like mulch spilled on the ground.

For a two-star hotel, this was better than I expected. We needed a room at the last minute, and Quality Inn gave us a clean, quiet place to stay. The staff were friendly, breakfast was okay, and I’d absolutely come back.
