Greenfield Inn

I booked this room more than five months ahead, then got a call last night saying construction meant the hotel had no rooms and my reservation had to be canceled. The person who called was kind and apologetic, but management should have let guests know sooner. With just two days' notice over Memorial Day weekend and the Indy 500, finding another reasonably priced room is nearly impossible.

My son needed a place near his job in Greenfield while he looked for an apartment, so I called for him. Nick and his wife were both very nice, and they offered a discounted weekly rate. I think he stayed around six weeks without any issues. Having his own place during the move was a lifesaver, and he said the bed was really comfortable. No complaints, especially for the price.

After a 12-hour drive from New Jersey for Memorial Day weekend and the Indy 500, I arrived to find there were no rooms for my booking. The woman called her “boss,” but he did nothing to fix it. I booked through Expedia, and they managed to find me another hotel for the weekend, thankfully. Expedia gets 10 out of 10. This place deserves negative stars. Avoid it like the plague.

We found several bed bugs and showed the manager a photo. He denied they were there and got defensive right away. When we asked to switch rooms, he said none were available. We then asked for a refund so we could move to another hotel, but he refused, stayed rude and defensive, and kept insisting there were no bed bugs.
