Hotel Denim

The room was cozy, with two very comfortable Tempur-Pedic beds, a huge flat screen with lots of channels, bottled water, and an espresso machine. Two denim robes were provided if you wanted to use them. The bathroom was clean, with decorative tile rather than carpet, good shower pressure, shampoo, conditioner, towels, a hairdryer, a face towel, and a loofah. There's also a sitting area on the side of the hotel. The lobby was clean and smelled nice, with plenty of seating for talking or eating. The man at the front desk was especially helpful and kind. The hallways were clean, nicely scented, and decorated in a modern style. There was a small bar and food area, plus concessions and other items for sale. Morning and evening food could be purchased, in addition to the free breakfast. There are several places within walking distance on the same side of the street: Verizon, Nailbar, IHOP, and Outback. An Italian restaurant and a smoothie place are across the street.

Jonathan made check-in easy, and the location worked perfectly for our short trip. The hotel has a denim theme, right down to the bathrobes. Our room was clean and big enough, with a small fridge, steamer, and coffee maker. We had to ask for hand soap, but the man at the desk was very helpful. Breakfast was fruit, muffins or bagels, and coffee. We got a couple of poker chips at check-in to redeem at the bar for wine, water, or beer, and used ours for water to have with breakfast. They also offer made-to-order breakfast for a charge, including breakfast burritos and other items. We'd recommend this hotel to people staying in Greensboro.

The night front desk staff were kind and welcoming throughout our stay. Hotel Denim was a fun, easy place to stay, with a great North Greensboro location. It competes well with similarly priced hotels and strikes a nice balance between affordability and boutique style. The doors are a little thin, so sound carries through the building, and some light fixtures tended to flicker and dim on their own. We'd stay again and recommend it to others.

I stay here whenever I come to Gso. The place feels like a museum celebrating the cotton mills and denim industry that helped build the city. There's a small but lovely bar and café area, but the people are the best part. It's always a joy to see Jonathan's smiling face when I check in or pass through the lobby. He's a wonderful representative of the hotel. Do what you can to keep him, employees like that are a treasure.
