Days Inn Greensboro Airport

The hotel was clean, reasonably priced, and the staff were great about checking whether I needed anything or wanted my room cleaned during a longer stay. Breakfast is included, and there’s a Carolina diner within walking distance, plus room service. The location feels somewhat private, though being near the airport means you may hear planes, mostly during the day. I’d definitely stay again.

We drove four and a half hours for a family event, and I was there with my 10-month-old and 10-year-old. The pool was the main reason we chose this hotel, but it was under renovation and nobody told us. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub and toilet were filthy, the shower wall had a hole, and the drain was broken, so we couldn’t shower all weekend. I asked to change rooms, but they refused. I also asked the housekeeper three times to clean the tub and shower and sweep the floor, and she skipped our room each day. The AC kept cutting out, leaving the room uncomfortable, and it was full of mold. One bed had no comforter. When I called, the office said they didn’t have one. I said I wanted a refund and would check out in the morning, then a comforter arrived two minutes later. I couldn’t tell if they’d simply been unwilling to bring one before or if it was dirty, so we didn’t use it. The electricity also went out, melting the ice in the freezer compartment and leaving water everywhere. Our things were ruined. I uploaded pictures. Click my name icon to view them. The room smelled like smoke as soon as we opened the door, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking, and it looked nothing like the online pictures. The walls and bathroom were disgusting, the fridge didn’t work, the beds were uncomfortable, and it was easy to hear doors, conversations, and cars. We had dogs, and all the noise kept them barking. There was trash and clothing outside, and I nearly stepped on a blade or a needle while taking the dogs out. Breakfast was just a box of grocery-store cereal with no milk, even when I went down at 7. The pool was shut and full of stuff. Staff were rude from arrival through checkout, and getting clean sheets or blankets from the front desk was a real struggle. Don’t stay here, it’s nasty. I checked in at 2:30 PM and was out by 7:15 PM. I couldn’t rest or sleep because men and women who seemed to be on drugs were arguing outside my room. The room was filthy, with roaches, and the bathtub had been painted but was still dirty and nasty. There was too much drug activity, prostitution, and arguing and fighting. This is not a family hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to my dog. Greensboro Police, Guilford County Sheriff's Department, and the health department need to close this place immediately. 😕😡
