The outside doesn't look the greatest, but the rooms were relatively clean and the front desk attendant was friendly and accommodating. The price was the best part: we booked two nights for just $139.00, a deal I don't think you'll find anywhere better in Greensboro. The room also had a microwave, a large stand-up fridge with freezer, a double sink vanity, and sliding glass doors to a private patio out back.

We picked this place for an overnight visit to attend an event at Castle McCulloch. We hadn't been to the Greensboro area before, and the hotel seemed close enough and adequate for a few hours of sleep. When we arrived, though, the building's appearance and lack of outward-facing windows were the first things we noticed. Everything about the place seemed to say, "run." I've spent a few years in some of the finer parts of the world, and I know a bad neighborhood when I see one. This was definitely one.

The buildings were well maintained when I stayed, and the rooms were spacious with plenty of furniture and fresh toiletries. It's a straightforward, bare-bones, economical place to lodge. The downside is that the walls are thin, so you can hear anyone next door who speaks above average volume. The internet wasn't reliable either, so be ready to use a mobile hotspot.

I'm so uncomfortable. There's a spot on my cover, and the mattress is nasty. It feels like something is crawling on me, but it's the balls of lint on the mattress. First time in Greensboro, and this is my last time at this hotel.

The concierge was nowhere to be found when we came back with the cash, so we never got the reservation we were promised. I waited ten minutes and called, but the woman hung up on me twice. Before that, she said she'd call the owner because they weren't allowing cats right now after someone had just left 16. She told me the pet fee was $15 a night and I needed a $200 deposit, paid in cash, although that policy wasn't posted anywhere. I agreed because I was desperate to leave another long-term stay hotel in the area. I had my child and emotional support cat with me, and the booking site said pets were allowed for a $15 fee. The building looked like a ghetto apartment block from outside. I'm not familiar with the area, but it's very rural and rundown, gives "poor south." Very ghetto. Don't recommend.
