Red Roof Inn Greensburg

We booked two nights because it seemed affordable, but the conditions were bad enough that we left a day early and found another hotel. I'd spend extra for somewhere clean. The whole property felt unclean and poorly maintained. The bathroom handle was broken and nearly falling off. There was hair on the counters, in the shower, and on the toilet, clearly not mine. The shower drained poorly, there were crumbs on the tables, and the beds were uncomfortable and really springy. I also found mold on the ceiling, grime on the walls and baseboards, and a strong cat food smell throughout the room. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room felt like an aquarium, it was so humid, and it smelled like pee. The heater leaked enough water to cover half the floor. The shower spout had broken off the wall, the dryer didn't work, and the side door card locks were broken. The front desk attendant was never at the desk. There were people I took to be drug addicts coming and going all night.

People had been blasting music for four hours, and there don't seem to be quiet hours. It would stop for a few minutes, maybe because others were complaining, then start right up again. I'm exhausted and have a long drive in the morning. Don't stay here expecting peace and quiet. The room was clean but had a faint mildew smell. I didn't see mold, just smelled it. The woman who checked me in was really nice. I should've stayed at my usual Holiday Inn instead of trying to save a tiny bit of money.

We came for a rehearsal and wedding with our two kids, and the property made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Each evening, people we took to be long-term guests heckled us and made sideways comments as we returned to our room. There seemed to be a lot of drug activity among guests, along with some unsavory characters having loud verbal arguments outside the entrance. We shouldn't have to deal with that just trying to get back and rest. Staff could make better use of the CCTV cameras, walk around the property, and contact the proper authorities about illegal activity. The staff themselves were very friendly, and we had no trouble with the front desk. There was no breakfast. The bed was uncomfortable, and I could feel every spring, which caused my lower back to flare up. It's your typical Red Roof Inn otherwise.
