Residence Inn by Marriott Cherry Hill Philadelphia

Parking was a surprise: the place is only reachable by car, yet they charge a fee to park wherever you can find a spot. We arrived late as two people and found very little toilet paper, with no spare roll anywhere, so tissues had to do. The bathroom in the main house had toilet paper when I went there for coffee in the morning, but no way to dry my hands, no paper towels or dryer. The room was pleasant and comfortable, with nicely made beds and a roomy living area and kitchen. It works well as a suite, especially with kids. We stayed before with three children and had plenty of space. The beds were comfy, though there were no extra blankets. You can adjust the thermostat.

The TV in my room never worked during the stay, even though I reported it soon after checking in, and nobody fixed it. I was also put in the wrong room at first, then had to move in freezing weather because of staff carelessness. The Airbnb host was rude and unprofessional, and Airbnb gave me no meaningful help. I regret ignoring the reviews. The property was run-down and outdated, the customer service was poor, and the $250 deposit felt unreasonable for what I got. The price didn't match the value at all. The whole stay was frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We chose this place because it was closer to the hospital where I was scheduled for a c-section the next morning, hoping I could get more sleep than at home. I got almost none because the bed was hard and lumpy, and the deadbolt didn't work. I wish we'd stayed elsewhere. At check-in, the receptionist said they had no reservation and asked how we'd booked. When we said the Marriot App, she replied, "oh thats why that doesnt always work". I'm a Titanium Elite member and use the app all the time without trouble. The room was old, dingy, and worn down, with the sofa bed pulled out, pillows everywhere, cabinets open, and pillows that didn't fit their cases. The lighting was poor and the room was dark. We often stay at other Residence Inn properties and love them, but this one came nowhere near their quality. I'll never return and can't recommend it.

Comfortable and clean, and not a long drive to the venue. We've stayed here at least twice for two-night concert weekends in Camden. It's a good place for a night or a few, with the amazing Silver Diner nearby or the option to cook your own meals.
