The kids had a great time right by the lake, and I loved it too. Everything and everyone was so nice. They’ve got pretty much anything you could need or want, though you’ll need to bring your own food. We’ll definitely come back!

I come here to fish pretty often, and we’ve caught plenty. I haven’t stayed in a room myself, but the owners are really friendly and glad to help with anything you need. No need to bring minnows, they sell them there. I’ve talked with lots of people who stayed, and every one said their room was very clean.

We were glad we could book a room for the holiday weekend. The setup was really cozy, and the kitchen had what we needed to cook after a long day of swimming. It’s a lovely locally owned place for families, or anyone who enjoys the lake and wants to avoid the loud tourist spots. The beds, bedding, and pillow were all super comfortable, and the owners were gracious and helpful.

The room was nicely kept for an older place, and the WiFi worked well for me despite the limited cell service. There aren’t many food options nearby unless you drive, but the rooms are fully equipped for cooking and there are plenty of grills. On my first time bringing a boat, I wasn’t sure where to park without blocking anyone. They drop off the trailer, take the boat to the ramp with a tractor, then park the trailer out of the way until you’re ready to leave. That part was no problem. There was an error with my boat launch and slip fees. I spotted the overcharge on my receipt the day after leaving, contacted the owner, and they apologized and refunded it. They said it was a system error, and they made that right. But when I checked my card for the refund, I found two more charges that weren’t on the receipt and didn’t match my booking price. I don’t know what they were for. I’m sure they’d straighten it out if I called, and everyone was very nice, but I didn’t have time to deal with it, so I disputed them with my card. Check both your receipt and card transactions if you stay here.

We stayed the Sunday and Monday before Memorial Day weekend, and were pleasantly surprised by almost everything. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were reasonably priced and clean. It was a bit cramped for the two of us, but we spent plenty of time outside, so it was fine. We didn’t bring our boat because the forecast looked iffy, though they could have put it in and taken it out for us. The fishing dock was my favorite. I’m no serious angler, but sitting there with a worm and bobber and catching sunfish, then bluegill over and over, was marvelous. They have crappie beds too, and I saw some good sized crappie being caught and cleaned at the sinks on the dock. We also used the free kayaks, which was a lot of fun. There’s a little beach for swimming, but it was too cold for us. The office has board games to check out, and the game room has air hockey and ski ball, among other options. It’s relaxing and well appointed in an old fashioned way. Highly recommend.
