Best Western Plus Monica Royale Inn & Suites

Our room was clean and had basic amenities. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the coffee decent, and the shower water warm enough. The lobby looked clean when we arrived and the staff were welcoming, but one employee had to help several people at the counter at once, which made it harder for her to be as pleasant as she otherwise might have been. The room door latches seem difficult to use throughout the hotel, and ours was loose where it was installed. A maintenance employee said they were all due to be replaced sometime this year. We went back to the front desk twice and changed rooms, then another guest who stays here often finally showed us how to work the latch. A hotel maintenance employee came to help after we’d already gotten through the door.

The price was great for our three-day stay, and the pool was nice. I wish there’d been a sauna or hot tub for relaxing, but the stay was still worth it. We had a rough start to our trip to Texas, and Greenville is a ways out from where everyone else was. I’d still take that over the motels and hotels in Dallas, Denton, and elsewhere. The hotel was wonderful and very clean, the front desk girl was super sweet and understanding, and everyone at the hotel and around Greenville, Texas, was respectful and pleasant.

We were thankful the Holiday Inn cancelled our booking, because that led us to this Best Western. The hotel was clean, the beds were so comfortable, and the staff were super friendly. There was lots of room in the breakfast area, and the kids loved the Texas-shaped waffles. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lacey at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She gave us a level of service I’ve never experienced at a hotel, and saying she went above and beyond is a huge understatement. The hotel grounds were well kept, check-in was quick, and the rooms were great, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Everything in the room was clean and working. We had a great stay and highly recommend this spot.
