Comfort Inn & Suites Dayville - Killingly Industrial Park

The room was clean, though it had a slightly odd smell, and the stay seemed fine until my account was charged $580 twice. When I went to the front desk, they couldn't help and told me to call my bank. That was really frustrating.

The bathroom in Room 116 had a very strong mold smell. After staying there, my son and I both developed coughs, and we had to go to Urgent Care because our asthma was affected. It seems like mold may have been the cause, and I'm worried about the health risk for us and other guests. Management needs to take this seriously, arrange the needed remediation, and keep this room off the market until the work is done.

The biggest drawback is that the carpets, walls, and other parts of the hotel need updating. Still, it's right off the highway, with a shopping plaza one exit away and a great restaurant about three miles down the road. The indoor pool is nice, and the staff are some of the most helpful I've encountered. Breakfast and coffee were good too, with bagels, bread, English muffins, waffles you make yourself, cheese omelets or egg rounds, sausage one day and bacon the next, plus fruit and three kinds of pastry. Good value overall. I'd give Comfort Inn of Dayville 4.7 out of 5, and it would be five stars if it were newer.

We paid over $230 for the room, and the TV didn't work. The beds were comfortable and the room itself was fine, but they should check things like the TV when cleaning and preparing a room. I told the front desk and wasn't offered a discount. Not good.
