Smoke smell hit me as soon as I came onto the property, and my room smelled of it too. The headboard wall lights and all the electrical outlets in my room were out, which was extremely inconvenient. I’d booked three days but wanted to leave after the first night. When I told the manager, there was no apology, room change offer, or attempt to fix the electrical issue. I was only told I wouldn’t get a refund, and that I’d even be charged extra for shortening the stay. The service was very poor and the whole experience disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The place looked cleaner outside than it was inside. Our room was filthy, and the bed linens were dirty. They brought replacement sheets that were supposed to be clean, but those were dirty too. One pillow had mildew on it, so I slept with my jacket over it. There were roaches, and the front desk wasn’t much help. The heat took hours to warm the room, so we kept our jackets on until bedtime. I wouldn’t recommend spending money here.

For the price, the room and bathroom were nice and clean, and the front desk staff were helpful. My husband and I paid a little over $300 for three nights. There were lots of graduations that weekend, including my nephew’s, so I booked at the last minute. Breakfast is coffee and waffles, and there’s a refundable $50 deposit at check in, even if you paid online. My concern was the smoking: guests had clearly smoked in rooms and seemed to still be smoking there, though the rooms are meant to be non smoking and there’s a fine if you’re caught. I’m not sure anyone follows up. I appreciated housekeeping keeping the room and bathroom clean, but didn’t realize they’d enter while we were away and our belongings were still there. Everything was in place, and I want to assume good intent, but I think they should only come in when a guest is present to avoid misunderstandings for everyone. It wasn’t bad overall.

The check in lady was nice, but the rest of the stay was awful. The sheets and towels were stained, the place smelled terrible, and we had to buy Lysol. The pool was closed and looked like it had been that way for a long time. The bathtub drain was clogged, and after the water finally went down there were black particles left in the tub. We paid far too much, but all the hotels nearby were booked. Next time I’ll sleep in my car.
