The location in Greenville is handy, and the two-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable, though basic. We shared it with our son and his girlfriend. The kitchen worked pretty well, and the Peet's coffee was nice, but the sink faucet runs slowly. Blackout blinds in the main bedroom and a few USB ports by the outlets would be welcome. I'd consider staying again.

Mint's check-in setup was the worst I've run into. I booked and never got a check-in link, so I had to contact a representative just to get one. Then I spent time on the phone and in a live chat with two customer service reps to get the building and unit codes. I'm fine with contactless hotels and use Sonder all the time, but they've got the process figured out. In Greenville, I'd just stay at a hotel. This isn't worth the small savings.

I booked this location for one night, then canceled before staying. Texts demanding a virtual check-in started arriving right after I reserved, several days before the stay. Mint wanted photos of my driver's license and a $200 deposit, and then I found out a background check was required too. All that for one night? Forget it. I canceled right away.

The room was large and the kitchen setup was good enough to outweigh the confusing check-in and parking for me. There are two Mint House properties within a quarter mile, so make sure you don't go to the wrong one. Getting checked in was very confusing, though I got through it after plenty of swearing.

The room felt private and secure. Restaurants, the pool, the gym, and a lounge facing the ball park were all within walking distance.
