Candlewood Suites Greenville

It felt nearly like being at home, with clean, comfortable rooms and loads of amenities. The staff were fantastic and really looked after people, especially Katie and Racheal😁.

We were gone by 7:00 am. There was a lot of noise outside from construction workers, and they kept at it until midnight. I paid $158.00 total after being told it was $112, with lots of charges. Maybe some of that was for the roaches? The staff were very nice, but that didn't make up for them. I didn't want their coffee or food either. Once the lights went out, cockroaches were crawling around: in the tub, behind the bed, on the bathroom counter and floors. There were even tiny ones inside the refrigerator. Yes, they’re palmetto’s bugs, but they’re roaches too. The bed sheets looked clean and the bedroom seemed neat, but this is the roach hotel. Don't believe the 4.2 rating!

The front desk clerk was really friendly, but we checked out and had to find another hotel ourselves. We saw roaches in both the first room and the one we were moved to. There were dead bugs in each room, then live ones appeared after we'd been there a while. I think the staff know about the roach problem and spray rooms between stays. Please don't overlook the reviews like I did. Just don't go here. If you need a kitchenette, nearby Homewood Suites is nice and clean.

The washing machines and dryers have been especially useful during my extended stays, which I've had several times. Everyone working here is helpful with local information and sorting out any concerns. GM Monica seems to hire the right people to keep things running smoothly. Thanks for another great stay!
