Greenville Inn and Suites

The room floor was soaked and dangerously slippery, and black spots were spreading across the bathroom ceiling. The shower curtains were held up with duct tape. As soon as we entered, a strong mildew smell hit us. I turned on the lights to inspect the room and found the carpet wet all the way through. I took my socks off briefly, then had to put them back on because of the water. We checked in around 10 PM, knowing $65 a night wouldn’t mean a five-star stay, but this was far beyond disappointing. At check-in, I noticed what looked like complimentary breakfast and asked about it. I was rudely asked, “Did you see it when you reserved a room?” That should’ve been my first warning. The place was unsanitary and poorly maintained. I didn’t expect luxury, just basic cleanliness and safety. Never again.

The room was filthy and there were needles and drugs under the bed. The shower didn’t work properly, and there was no hot water. Everything felt outdated and neglected, including the old, dirty-looking mattress. We asked for a refund after finding the items and left to find another hotel.

It was creepy, and we left after just 10 minutes. In the middle of the night, two men were staring at me from the parking lot. The place smelled of cigarette smoke and dampness, with stained walls, a sagging old mattress, stained sheets, hair in the tub, and a floor that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. Disgusting. The employee didn’t seem to care at all.

You can tell this used to be a smoking hotel. It’s in the middle of renovations and feels more like a motel. I’m not sure whether the pool was open, but it looked clear and well maintained. The jetted tub was big enough for two.
