Greenville Marriott

Jennifer’s world-famous Arnold Palmer was a great touch, and Amanda gave wonderful service at breakfast. The bed was large and comfortable, and the floor was quiet. I truly enjoyed my stay.

The people here are terrific, friendly, genuine, and professional. The hotel is older and could use some modernization, but it’s quiet and safe, and the rooms are comfortable. There are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance. A car makes things much easier and gives you more ways to enjoy Greenville.

The room was spacious and perfectly fine, and the reception staff were very nice and friendly. Still, the little extras made the stay disappointing enough that I wouldn’t want to return. Breakfast was poor and very limited, and restaurant service wasn’t good. Anything from the small shop was extremely expensive. There was no complimentary water in the room, and internet cost extra. They don’t make things easy for guests, and it affects the experience.

The room was cozy and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water and pressure. But it would’ve been good to know before booking that there was no continental breakfast in the room rate. Guests shouldn’t have to search the website afterwards to figure out what amenities are included. I also didn’t know I’d have to download an app to check in. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have booked a Marriott, and that alone means I won’t rent a room from Marriott again. I don’t think AI is the way to run a service business. It won’t fully replace people, and that’s part of why I gave this rating. I appreciate your time and effort regarding my stay, but even the Wi-Fi costs extra. I’d expect that at a low-end hotel, but charging for Wi-Fi at Marriott just to get a password is ridiculous. Amenities are part of why we travel. Motels provide Wi-Fi, so give it to your guests. Charging for it is fine if it’s the reason we travel.
