Clarion Greenville Airport Inn

Breakfast was much better than I expected, with fresh food and plenty in stock. It made for an easy start to the morning. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful from check-in through check-out. The location is very convenient, right by the highway and near the airport, so it works well for business or a stop along I-85. Clean, comfortable, and hassle-free. I'd stay again.

The room was clean and recently renovated, and the service was good. Free parking and breakfast were included, with a good range of options. It's near the airport and plenty of restaurants. We stayed one night while visiting Greenville for a friend's wedding.

Housekeeping woke our seven-month-old around 7:30 or 8 in the morning with the loudest carts, and there was a lot of noise from staff working early. A bright light right outside our door didn't help, so sleep was hard. The room was rough, as expected since they're remodeling, though it was fairly clean. The bathroom smelled strongly of cigarettes, the room had a slight smoke smell despite being smoke-free, and there was what looked like mold on the wall and under the bath mat. Breakfast was bland and not good, with few choices. The eggs had a plastic texture. At least there's a Waffle House right next door. It's definitely a budget hotel. We stayed because hotels near Hendersonville NC were booked, and the drive was still doable. If all you're after is cheap and clean, I'd recommend it, but don't count on good sleep with the noise and lights.

Finding pests in a hotel room makes me expect the basics of cleanliness and proper maintenance, and neither was there. I found a bed bug, a traveler's worst nightmare because you could bring them home. It seems the rooms aren't being properly checked between guests.
